Geomaterial Enricher v1.9.8
An evidence-based, deterministic, rule-driven framework that converts heterogeneous geological map-unit descriptions into standardized principal material classifications and qualitative screening attributes.
From source description to mapped classification
National application
The manuscript reports that in verified v1.9.7 results, 8,336 of 10,467 mapped-unit records received a class other than UNKNOWN (79.6% classification coverage), and 2,131 remained UNKNOWN. Version 1.9.8 adds organic–mineral dominance safeguards; the manuscript does not claim a completed full-dataset v1.9.8 comparison.
Capabilities
Classification coverage is not classification accuracy. Physical-property and resource outputs are reconnaissance-level indicators, not laboratory measurements, engineering design parameters, hazard determinations, or resource certifications. Derived interpretations are independent work and are not official USGS assessments.
